We work out of coffee shops and libraries, and we even provide in-home tutoring. We aim to help New York City students reach their academic potential through dedicated one-on-one attention and a deep commitment to proven teaching techniques.
Luke Palder, Founder
Luke Palder founded NYCTutoring.com out of a passion for helping learners achieve their goals. After graduating as valedictorian of the Culver Academies, where he achieved a 4.0 GPA and perfect SAT I and SAT II math scores, he went on to earn a BA in political science from Yale. He has also studied at Cambridge University, Peking University (China’s top university), and Yale Law School. Notably, he was a teaching assistant in the MBA program at the Yale School of Management while still an undergrad and tutored data analysis for a Yale professor.
Luke has worked in a ribosome biogenesis lab, served as an aide to four US congressmen, and taught English in several countries, including China and Spain. He received more than $1,000,000 in merit college scholarships, including the full-tuition Robertson Scholarship at both Duke and UNC-Chapel Hill. He loves working with students.
